The stages of the pages…..

First things first, gotta get that scene out of the old bonce and down onto paper.
Helps to work fast and small (8cm x 11cm) that way you can get a good idea if the comoposition is working well or not.

 Now for the fun part, I blow that little scamp up to full size (25cm x 38cm) to use as a guide for the pencils. Everything is in place, just a case of fleshing it all out.

With things starting to take shape it's time to lay out the word balloons. At this stage elements can still be tweaked and twiddled with should there be issues with my intended layout.

Then when it's all scribbled in and shaded out and the bubbles are working the way I hoped, it's time to crack out the pen pot to lay down the law with some lovely blacks.

All done, just a bit of toning…..
